We felt the need to dedicate a page in regard to a recent verbal attack on our dogs and kennel name. I am the owner of a mastiff message board and occasionally we have people that join and must be removed due to their negative behavior.
This has occurred recently, and the disgruntled person has taken it upon himself to voice negative and untrue comments on his website about Goldleaf Mastiffs and Harmony Mastiffs. To date, he is not a breeder and has very little knowledge about the mastiff breed. He has caused problems for other breeders and was recently removed from another mastiff message board for the same behavior. To the best of our knowledge, he still frequents one mastiff message board and goes by the name of "NewJerseyMastiffs". In our opinion, you should be very careful if you see this name and avoid any association.
He rarely shows his dogs and had little or no success when he did. Since he had little success at showing and has never bred mastiffs, he claims he will be a "watchdog" for the mastiff community. Do we really want someone like this watching over anyone?Read the two articles below and you can decide for yourself. So far, this person has been very successful at having a loud mouth, being disliked, and proving to be a burden to many of the great mastiff folks across the country. He voices his opinions on a blog that does not allow comments from other users, unless of course he approves them first. Very one sided in our opinion.
Initially, we chose to completely ignore this person and his rantings, but after giving it some thought, we felt it was important to post this information and let you know that if you have any questions about our dogs, please feel free to call or email us directly. We are very open and honest people and would be happy to answer any questions you might have about our dogs and our breeding program. If at any time you are contacted by this person, we would appreciate it if you would forward the correspondence to us.
We are very proud of the dogs we have bred and our success in the show ring. It is unfortunate that someone will come along and try to damage an established breeders reputation, which in my opinion is based on anger and jealousy, but these things do happen in life and we felt it was important to inform the public.
